Terms of Service

Last updated: August 2026

1. About the Service

Creative Lunch Club is operated by CLC - Creative Lunch Club IT GmbH, Jungstraße 8/36, 1020 Vienna, Austria, FN 644473f, Handelsgericht Wien ("we", "us", "our").

Creative Lunch Club is a community for people working in the creative industries, for example graphic designers, photographers, artists, writers, developers and advertisers. We connect creative professionals over a shared lunch and through hosted meetups.

By signing up and paying for a membership, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must not use the service.

2. Who Can Join

Membership is open to people working in or closely connected to the creative industries. You must be at least 18 years old.

We reserve the right to decline a membership if it is not a good fit for the Creative Lunch Club. In that case we cancel your subscription and refund any membership fee you have already paid.

We may also deny access to members who do not comply with these Terms.

3. Membership Plans

We offer the following membership plans:

  • Monthly plan: 7.50 € per month
  • Quarterly plan: 15.00 € per three months

Your membership begins once your first payment is completed. All plans include regular matching with two other creative professionals in your city and free access to all Creative Lunch Club meetups we host.

4. Matching Service

We match active members with two other creatives from their city on a rolling cycle of approximately every 28 days. Matchings are made at our discretion based on availability and location. We do not guarantee a specific number of matches or specific partners.

We use your postal code to match you with members near you. You may use the postal code of your home or of your workplace.

When you are matched, you and your two matches receive an email with information from each other's profiles, such as profession, website, social media channel and contact details. You can choose in your member area not to share your postal code and your phone number. Keeping your profile data up to date is your responsibility.

If your matches do not reply or are not available to meet, you can request a rematch through our feedback form.

Members arrange the time, date and place of their lunch themselves. We do not host or attend these lunches.

If no suitable matches are available in your city in a given cycle, we will notify you. In such cases you remain responsible for your membership fee unless you cancel or make use of the money-back guarantee in section 8.

5. Meetups

We regularly host Creative Lunch Club meetups. As an active member you can join all meetups we host, at no additional cost. Your membership covers attendance.

For some meetups, food is provided and must be paid for in advance. The amount and what it covers are shown before you book. These payments are separate from your membership fee and are not covered by it.

Meetup places are limited. If you cannot attend, please cancel your booking as early as possible so your place can go to another member. Where you have paid for food in advance, refunds for late cancellations or no-shows are not possible once we have ordered on your behalf. The cancellation deadline is shown with each meetup.

If we cancel a meetup, any food payments you have made for it are refunded in full.

6. Hosting Your Own Meetup

As a member you can host your own Creative Lunch Club meetup. You propose the meetup through your member area and we review it before it goes live. We may decline or remove a meetup at our discretion.

As a host you are responsible for the accuracy of your listing, for the venue and timing, and for being present and running the meetup as announced. Hosts are bound by the code of conduct in section 11 in the same way as attendees.

If your meetup requires an upfront payment for food, payments are processed through our payment provider and paid out to you, less a platform fee and payment processing fees. You are responsible for your own tax and invoicing obligations in relation to those payments.

If you cancel a meetup, attendees who have paid are refunded in full.

7. Payment and Billing

Payments are processed securely via Stripe or PayPal. Your membership renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date.

We do not change the price of a running membership. If we change our pricing, existing members keep their current price for as long as their membership continues without interruption.

8. 90-Day Money-Back Guarantee

We offer a 90-day money-back guarantee. If we could not match you because there were no other members in your city, or if your lunches did not work out, write to us at hallo@creativelunchclub.com within 90 days of your payment and we will refund your membership fee.

9. Right of Withdrawal and Cancellation

As a consumer you have the right to withdraw from your membership within 14 days of concluding the contract, without giving reasons. To exercise it, send us an unambiguous statement by email to hallo@creativelunchclub.com.

If you ask us to begin the service before the withdrawal period ends, and you make use of it, you owe a proportionate amount for the period already served. Where the service has been fully performed within the withdrawal period with your prior express consent, the right of withdrawal lapses.

Beyond that period you may cancel your membership at any time from your account dashboard, either immediately or at the end of your current billing period. Apart from the guarantee in section 8 and the withdrawal right above, no refunds are issued for the current billing period.

10. Pausing Your Membership

You may pause your matching at any time. When paused, you will not be matched in that cycle, but your subscription continues and you will be billed as normal. Pausing does not reduce or waive your membership fee. Paused members can still attend meetups.

11. Code of Conduct

Members are expected to treat each other with respect. Discriminatory, harassing or otherwise inappropriate behaviour may result in immediate termination of your membership without refund.

Lunches and meetups are social in nature. Commercial pitching, multi-level marketing or recruitment without the other person's prior consent is not permitted.

12. Feedback

We appreciate feedback after your lunches and meetups through our feedback form. It helps us improve the service.

13. Limitation of Liability

We facilitate connections between members but are not responsible for the conduct of members before, during or after lunches and meetups. We are not liable for damages arising from member interactions, except where liability cannot be excluded by law, in particular for personal injury or for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence.

Our liability for service disruptions or failures is limited to the fees paid in the month in which the disruption occurred.

14. Termination by Us

We may suspend or terminate your membership if you breach these Terms, in particular the code of conduct. Where the breach is not your fault or is minor, we will give you notice and an opportunity to remedy it first. Statutory rights of both parties to terminate for good cause remain unaffected.

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email at least 30 days in advance. If you do not object before the changes take effect, they are deemed accepted. Continued use of the service after that constitutes acceptance.

16. Governing Law

Austrian law applies, excluding its conflict of law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer resident in the EU, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence.

We are neither obliged nor willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
