The community for graphic designers and other creatives

The Creative Lunch Club is a community for graphic designers and other creatives. Every month we match you with two creatives from your city, and you meet for lunch. No pitch decks, no name tags, just good conversations with people who get what you do.

How it works

  1. 1

    Join and pick your city

Sign up, tell us what you do and which city you are based in.

  2. 2

    Get matched every month

Once a month we match you with two other creatives from your city.

  3. 3

    Meet for lunch

The three of you pick a place and a time and have lunch together. That is all there is to it.

Why graphic designers join

Get out of the freelance bubble

Working alone or in a small studio can get quiet. A monthly lunch puts you in front of new people without having to organise anything yourself.

Find collaborators

Illustrators, photographers and copywriters are part of the community too. Plenty of projects start with someone you met over lunch.

Referrals and client work

Creatives pass jobs on to people they know and like. The more people you have met, the more often your name comes up when a client asks for a designer.

Talk about clients and pricing

What to charge, how to handle a difficult client, which tools are worth paying for: lunch is the place for the questions you would not ask on LinkedIn.

One of the best things I've done since moving to Stockholm has been joining the Creative Lunch Club, a community I first discovered back in Australia and was so happy to find here too! These catchups have been such a great way to connect with other creatives, share stories and experiences, and feel part of the design community here. I've met some incredibly talented and kind people through these catch-ups, and it's helped me explore more of Stockholm too!

When I found about the Creative Lunch Club I immediately thought I had to join. I live for design communities but so rarely we get opportunities to have these small group gatherings, so lunch feels like the ideal excuse to meet other creatives. Had the first one the other day and yep, it was a great experience and can't wait for the next.

The CLC is great because I can easily get to know previously unknown creative people in the city, gain new inspiration, expand my talent network and also discover new corners and restaurants in the city. I think CLC members are curious and open-minded people by nature. It's always exciting to learn more about the city's creative scene and its projects. At my previous meetings, we always had interesting discussions and the time for lunch was often far too short. I'm already looking forward to my next CLC.

Where graphic designers meet

Not just graphic designers

Your lunch group is a mix. You might sit down with an illustrator, a photographer, a copywriter or an art director. That mix is the point: new perspectives, possible collaborators and people who might need exactly what you do.

So lovely and energizing to connect with other designers, bonding over shared experiences, loves/qualms about our work, how to avoid creative burnout, what we're looking forward to, and so on. Looking forward to continuing to make these thoughtful connections and have meaningful conversations.

Creative Lunch Club has been an invaluable part of my creative journey in Helsinki and beyond. Alongside introducing me to incredible people, the conversations and moments shared through the network have given me fresh perspectives, much-needed respites, lasting friendships, and the encouragement to persist through the hurdles of freelancing!

I really enjoy meeting new people through Creative Lunch Club. I think it's a great way of making new contacts, especially as a foreigner in a new city.
